Bend it. Shape it. Create botanical art in copper.
Create one large handcrafted copper plant stake in this beginner-friendly metal arts workshop inspired by botanical curiosities, garden art, and the timeless craft of wirework.
This class is part of the Metal Arts Series, where foundational metalworking techniques meet botanical inspiration to create functional and decorative pieces for plant lovers and creative makers.
Copper has long been connected to gardening traditions. Known for its natural antimicrobial properties, copper has been used in horticulture for generations and has inspired curiosity through practices like electroculture, which explores the relationship between metals, the environment, and plant growth. In this workshop, we’ll draw inspiration from these botanical traditions while creating functional garden art with a touch of copper magic.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn basic wire shaping and forming techniques while creating one unique copper plant stake using copper wire, natural elements, and decorative details. Designed for houseplants, fairy gardens, and plant collections of all kinds, these handcrafted botanical accents bring artistry and personality to any indoor or outdoor growing space.
