Metal Arts Workshop

Bend it. Wrap it. Create functional art that helps your plants grow.

Create two handcrafted metal propagation sidecars in this beginner-friendly workshop inspired by plants, functional design, and the timeless art of wirework.

This class is part of the Metal Arts Series, where foundational metalworking techniques meet botanical inspiration to create beautiful, functional pieces for your home and plant collection.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll design and create a decorative wire-wrapped propagation sidecar that securely hangs from the rim of a planter or vessel, holding a glass propagation tube for rooting your favorite plant cuttings. Personalize your design with decorative wirework and colorful glass beads to create a one-of-a-kind botanical accent.

During this 1.5-hour creative workshop, you'll:

• Learn basic copper wire bending and shaping techniques
• Create a sturdy wire frame designed to hold a glass propagation tube
• Practice wire-wrapping techniques using decorative beads
• Form graceful curves, spirals, and botanical-inspired details
• Finish and refine your piece for everyday use and display

🌿 Your Workshop Includes

✔ Copper wire and metalworking materials
✔ Glass propagation tube
✔ Decorative glass beads and design elements
✔ All tools and supplies needed for the workshop
✔ Step-by-step guided instruction from start to finish

No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a love for plants and creating by hand. We'll guide you through each step as you learn foundational metal arts techniques in a relaxed and supportive studio environment.

You'll leave with a finished propagation sidecar ready to attach to your favorite planter and display fresh plant cuttings as they grow.

Whether you're a plant lover, propagation enthusiast, creative beginner, or simply looking for a unique hands-on experience, this workshop offers a rewarding introduction to metal arts while creating something you'll use long after class is over.
